Meet The Team
We are three sisters – Beth Danforth, Laurie Scruggs and Mona Mounts! Beth is a local
attorney, Laurie has 30 years in the lighting business in Valdosta, and Mona has 25
years in Logistics and Distribution as an HR executive. Although, we have very different
backgrounds professionally, we share a love for South Georgia and are passionate
about being a part of the community. We decided to combine our diverse backgrounds
and use our combined knowledge and experience to create Southern Lighting and
Lifestyles and realize our dream. A local Lighting & amp; Lifestyle Store with a BIG
personality - Our passion for people and all things beautiful led us to this exciting
decision.
Why We Do Lighting
We decided to open Southern Lighting and Lifestyles because of our shared passion for interior design, our love for Southern charm, and our desire to create something meaningful together as sisters. We’ve always believed in the transformative power of lighting—it’s not just about functionality, but about setting the mood, enhancing the beauty of a space, and making a house truly feel like a home. Whether it’s the warmth of a chandelier over a dining table or the precision of task lighting in a workspace, lighting plays a vital role in defining the atmosphere and purpose of any room.
